You know you are starting to really like the place you are living when you think of all the things/places you want to show your friends or family if they came to visit. Either that or you are starting to get homesick. I’ve eaten a lot of weird food since I’ve been here and I keep wondering how my mom would like it or my best friend. I also have a friend back in Spokane that loves anything to do with anchors and considering I live in an ocean town I am constantly reminded of her. Or I see a lot of funky new art that two artists I love deadly would Ohhh and Ahhh over.
I used to travel a lot by myself. One day I would be in St. Croix and the next I would be in New York. It was fun for a time but it got lonely. I needed to start experiencing adventure with loved ones.
David and are driving to Tennessee today to visit his family for Easter. This will be my first holiday ever with my in-laws and David’s first holiday home in five years. To bad it’s not thanksgiving because we have so much to be thankful for. As we are driving I keep seeing so much beauty. I am so amazed by how many shades of green there are a show the sun eliminates everything into this majestic glow.
I can’t help but feel a little homesick right now or wish that all those I love were here with me sharing the wonder of it all.
Cheers to adventure, traveling, friends, family, & southern beauty! I wish you could all be here with me!
