Mess I Made Of Me

Take a step back from my yesterday

I can’t seem to breathe

Adrenaline runs in my veins

Pillow over my face

Siphon my cries

Minutes turn into hours

Dark empty hole

That is this night

I can’t seem to breathe

Alarm beeps

Alas the morning has come

Scolding hot shower

Might melt my mind of ice

Redness in my eyes

I can’t seem to breathe

Pour a glass of milk

Chest heaves

Milk spills over edge

Curse to myself

Grab a towel

Fall to the floor

Fetal position

Clutching the towel

Hollow silent screams

Minutes turn into hours

Body lies there emotionless

I can’t seem to breathe
